St Botolph's Church of England Primary School

Starting Primary School 2021

Dear prospective parents, carers and children,

Welcome to St Botolph's Church of England Primary school. Sadly, we are unable to offer tours of the school this autumn as we remain safe in our bubbles, but we hope this page will give you much of the information you need to choose a school for your little one. Of course, this information may lead to more questions, which we are more than happy to answer for you. Just call 01733 231313 between 9am and 3pm on school days, or email

If your child was born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017, they will be eligible to start primary school in September 2021.

The application process for starting primary school for the first time in September 2021 is now underway and parents/carers have until the national closing date of 15 January 2021 to submit an application for their child. Please note that it does not matter how soon you submit your application as long as you submit it by the closing date. All applications received by the closing date will be treated equally.  However, if you submit your application after the closing date it will be processed as a late application and this could result in your child not receiving an offer at your preferred school.

NATIONAL OFFER DAY IS 16TH APRIL 2021.  Parents who applied online will be notified by Peterborough City Council by email of the outcome of their application. Letters will be posted to parents who did not apply online. No decisions will be issued by telephone.

The 30th April 2021 is the closing date for parents to either accept or refuse the school place  offered.  Please note that if the parent does not reply, the offer will be withdrawn by Peterborough City Council.

Week Commencing 3 May 2021 Second round of allocations for late applications received between 16 January and 30 April.

All applications received between 1 May and 31 August will be processed and offers made on an individual basis.

Please do take a look at the Information booklet, timeline and Guide below for more detailed information.
