In September 2017, we launched our Parent Forum with the aim of giving the parents of St Botolph's a clear voice and a further means of engaging with the school.
Parent engagement is known to improve learning outcomes for children by up to 30% (Prof. Charles Desforges). For that reason, and many others, we feel it’s important that parents have a voice at school – not necessarily as decisions makers as that job falls to the governing body – but as a group of people with ideas, suggestions and an ‘ear to the ground’ about the things that will make St Botolph’s an even better place for our children to learn and grow.
We plan to share ideas and support each other in whatever activity will benefit our children. If you would like to contribute, please get in touch with your parent rep by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
