Year 6 - Science Lessons at Nene Park Academy
This event will take place on 21/01/2020.
Our science topic this term is biology based, so using the laboratories at NPA will be a great way of having a hands on experience to learn about how the heart functions. We will be able to use their equipment and expertise to maximise our own understanding. The students will work in small groups and carry out dissections on animal hearts. This will also allow the children to see what a working day at a senior school looks like and will help with their transition for next year.
Your child will only be expected to do what they feel comfortable with, but we do very much hope that they will really make the most of the opportunity and find out all that they can.
Durham Class will attend on the Tuesday 21st January and then on Tuesday 4th February Exeter Class will attend. Each class will be at the Academy during the morning session and will be back in school for lunch as normal.
