Poems for Mother`s Day / Recognising halves of shapes and folding halves from paper.

English:  We have made supporting actions to help us remember our shared write of a character description for the baby owl in the Owl who was Afraid of the Dark.  We have begun writing this independently. 
We have written a poem using similes for Mothers Day.
Maths:  We have been working on recognising halves of shapes and folding halves from paper.  We have learnt the vocabulary for writing  a fraction - vinculum, denominator, numerator.
Art: We have made Mothers day cards.
PE: we practised various balances without apparatus in gymnastics.
Please ensure reading books and diaries are in school everyday.
Please remember to return homework and spelling books on a Tuesday.
