Art: The children have researched Florence Nightingale. Over the next few weeks the children will be recreating Florence’s lamp using tissue paper to create a stained glass effect.

History: The children have started to research nurses from the past. This week they have been learning about Florence Nightingale and her work.

Homework and spellings: The homework and spelling books will go out today. Please complete Week 1 of the booklet.  Please return homework and spelling books by Tuesday.

Reading: When your child reads at home please ensure to record this in their reading diary. The reading of non-school books can also be recorded.

Thank you for your support in leaving the children at the door instead of bringing them into the classroom, this is working really well with the children coming in and getting on with a task independently. By doing this it will also build their independence ready for Key Stage 2.
