15th March 2019  Year 2 Friday Briefing  

English: This week we have been looking at The Owl Who Was Afraid of The Dark and sequenced the story so far.

Maths: We have started a new unit on shape. We have ben looking at quadrilaterals and identifying right angles.

DT: We have started to create our Tudor Houses.

History: The children have been learning about The Great Fire of London and have ordered the events on a timeline.

Science: We have been looking nocturnal animals ready to write a report on our chosen animals.

Reading: When your child reads at home please ensure to record this in their reading diary. The reading of non-school books can also be recorded.

Homework and spellings: The homework books have been sent home. Please return homework and spelling books by Tuesday.

After half term we encourage you to leave your child at the door instead of bringing them into the classroom. This is to build their independence ready for Key Stage 2.

Friday 5th April: Year 2 Ferry Meadows Trip.
