English: This week we have been looking at The Owl Who Was Afraid of The Dark. We have highlighted the features of a setting description ready to write our own.

Maths: The children have been looking at money, value of coins and different ways of making a given amount.

DT: We have started to look at Tudor Houses ready to create our own in school. Please could you send your child into school with an empty cereal box so that they can create the houses.

History: The children have been looking at London and how it has changed.

Science: We have been looking at hygiene and different ways we can keep our bodies healthy.

Reading: When your child reads at home please ensure to record this in their reading diary. The reading of non-school books can also be recorded.

Homework and spellings: The homework books have been sent home. Please return homework and spelling books by Tuesday.

Friday 8th March: World Book Day- Please come dressed as your favourite book character. If you have a favourite book then please bring that into school to share.

Monday 1st April: Mothers Day Assembly
Friday 5th April: Year 2 Ferry Meadows Trip- Please return your permission slips by the end of the day.
