Friday Briefing 18.01.2019

English: The children have writing and editing their own diary extract from the point of view of the Beast.

Maths: The children have started a new unit on fractions. They have been identifying halves and quarters of different shapes.

Class Celebration: The children have been busy practicing their lines and songs ready for the class celebration next week. Please continue to support them with this. The performance will last for approximately 20 minutes. Please enter the school through the door at the back of the hall.

Reading: When your child reads at home please ensure to record this in their reading diary. The reading of non-school books can also be recorded. In order to encourage children to read more frequently at home, we will be starting a new incentive. Oxford and Coventry will go head to head to earn points for their class. The more often they read at home over a 2 week period the more points they will earn for their class. Every 2 weeks the class with the most points will earn a class treat.

Homework and spellings: The homework books have been sent home. Please complete the week 2 activity. Please return your homework and spelling books by Tuesday.

Dates for the diary:
