Monday 28th October - Friday 1st November

Phonics – We have been practising reading and spelling cvcc words like sand and ccvc words like spot.  We have also been learning to read the tricky words have, like, some and come.

Maths – Our unit is ‘shapes and patterns’.

We have been exploring and learning our number bonds to 10.  We have been learning the names of the 3D shapes cube, cuboid, sphere, pyramid and cone.  We have been using the correct vocabulary to describe their properties, edges, faces, surface, vertices.

English – Our class text is the ‘Jolly Postman’.

We have been creating our own FairyTale land pictures using the characters we know already from Traditional Tales.  We have been making predictions about who the Jolly Postman might be and who he might be delivering his letters to.

This is Mrs Dobson’s last week.  Thank you for all your support this term.
