When writing our recounts we focused on using time conjunctions to sequence our sentences. We also tried to include ‘and’ and other conjunctions like ‘so’, ‘but’ and ‘because’ to extend our sentences. We used adjectives to add extra detail.
Phonics – We recapped sounds and read them in real and alien words in preparation for the phonics screening.
Maths – Our unit is ’50 to 100 and beyond.’
We have been carrying out arithmetic and reasoning assesments to assess their maths skills and what the gaps are ready for Year 2.
