Celebrating Faith,
Learning and Success

St Botolph's Church of England Primary School

Monday Briefing 29.01.2019

We have been writing about our Easter holidays.

Phonics

The children have been split into groups based on what they need to practise to pass the phonics screening.  The children who don’t need the extra practise have been revisiting all the ways to make /ai/ and spelling them correctly in words.

Maths

We have been finding a half and a quarter of a shape and amounts.  We remember that a half is one part when the whole is split into 2 equal parts and a quarter is one part when the whole is split into 4 equal parts.

Literacy

We have been writing about our Easter holidays.  We have also been looking at features of a letter to help us to write a letter to Notcutts to ask them if we can visit their garden centre.
