Friday Briefing - 14.09.2018

This week we have continued to learn the classroom routines in Year 2. We have started our class text ‘Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaur’ which will be our focus in our English lessons and Guided Reading. 

Science: In science we are learning about everyday materials, the children have been identifying and classifying different materials.

Geography: We have been learning the different continents of the world and finding them on a world map.

PE: If your child wears earrings please provide tape for these to be covered for safety reasons.

Reading: Please send your child into school with their reading book everyday.

Homework and spellings: Homework booklets were sent out yesterday please complete week 1 task (Reading Comprehension) and return the booklet to school by Tuesday. Spellings have also been sent home, please practise ready for the test on Tuesday.

Parent consultations: Booking is open. These will be held in the classrooms on Tuesday 18th September and Thursday 20th September.

Story Café will be held on the 16th October.
