Friday Briefing - 26/01/2018

English: We have completed a role on the wall for the Beast.  We wrote a letter to Pets at Home to thank them for visiting us with their animals.  
 
Maths: We have solved multiplication and division money problems, word problems and are working on presenting this as a bar model. 
 
Science: We discussed our visit from Pets at Home to inform our letter writing in English.
 
PE: We worked in small groups to develop our dance to Carnival of the Animals.
 
Geography: Comparing hot and cold countries - this week we focussed on the climate of Africa, its 3 main regions (savannah, rainforest and desert) and its weather.
 
 
RE: We are beginning to explore Christian weddings.  We have discussed the traditions that happen in the build up and during a Christian wedding ceremony.
 
Art: We have looked at the work of Kandinsky and discussed the techniques he used.  
 
Homework: Research the country that the animal you chose last week is from.  Think about their habitat and how it is suited to them.
 
Please ensure reading books and diaries are in school everyday.
Please remember to return homework and spelling books on a Tuesday.
