Friday Briefing - 19/01/2018

English: we have started the story of The Lonely Beast, who visited our classroom at the beginning of the week.  We have read a diary extract written by The Lonely Beast and are going to be writing our own next week.

Maths: We have begun multiplication and division, exploring arrays and how to record supporting equations.

Science: We have begun thinking about our topic on animals.  We have asked what we want to find out and were posed with the question, 'do all animals hatch from an egg?'

PE: Carnival of the Animals is the first dance we are working on.

Geography: we recapped the continents, and have been learning about how the location of the equator effects the countries close by.

RE: we learnt about Candlemas and have written a Candlemas poem.

Music: We have been exploring music associated with animals.

Homework: completing multiplication equations using arrays.

Please ensure reading books and diaries are in school everyday.
Please remember to return homework and spelling books on a Tuesday.
