Friday Briefing - 15/12/2017

English:  We have explored poetry as a class.  We have all written a sentence that we combined to create a group Winter poem.
Maths: We have been learning about data this week.  We have recorded data as a tally chart and have input a this into a pictogram and a block graph.  We have recorded data in a chart counting in 1's and 2's.
Design: We have made our Christmas cards and calendars. 
History: We wrote a rhyming poem about Christopher Columbus.
We watched the Reception class Nativity on Monday this week.
There is no homework over the Christmas period but please continue to share some books.
Monday  18th December: School disco!  Please bring your party outfit to school.  Children will be able get changed in the afternoon.
Term ends Tuesday 19th December.  Spring term begins Thursday 4th January 2018.
Please ensure reading books and diaries are in school everyday.
Please remember to return homework and spelling books on a Tuesday.
