Friday Briefing - 22/09/2017

English:  We have started to read the pirate story, Captain Flinn.  We have been creating a new character and have been adding adjectives to describe it's features.

Phonics: We have our phonics groups ready and have been working on sounds within our phases.

Maths: We have been partitioning two digit numbers and recognising that a number can be partitioned in different ways.  We have used bead strings, number lines and denies to help.

PE: Multiskills: spacial awareness, moving in different ways and hand and eye
coordination. Please ensure you send your child with some tape if they cannot take their earrings out or we can use school masking tape to cover them.

Art: Designing a pirate treasure map.

Geography: Map of the world. Identifying and labelling the continents.

RE: We are exploring the creation story.

Homework: Design a pirate character and add labels using adjectives.

Spellings: Spellings will go home every Thursday in the practise book. Spelling
tests will take place on a Tuesday. You will find your child's score in the practise book when they get their new spellings on Thursdays. Any incorrect spellings will be highlighted. Please continue to practise these.

Please ensure reading books and diaries are in school everyday.
Please remember to return homework and spelling books on a Tuesday.
