Monday Briefing - 29.10.18

Phonics – We focused on the phase 3 sounds that we have been finding tricky and practised reading and writing words containing these sounds.  We revisited all phase 2 and 3 tricky words in preparation for starting phase 4.

Maths – Our unit is ‘addition and subtraction.’

We used pictures to think of an addition story and then wrote matching equations.  We then moved onto subtraction.  We started with the whole and partitioned the cubes to find the parts.  We wrote matching equations.

English – Our book focus is Beegu’.

We have been thinking about how Beegu feels in the story and how these change throughout the story.  We have also been sequencing and retelling the story in our own words.  We drew our own story paths to sequence the main events.
