Monday Briefing - 01.10.2018

Phonics – We focused on the diagraphs ai, ee, ie, oa, or, ar and oo.  We practised reading and writing words with these sounds.  We also practised reading alien words with these sounds in too.

Maths – Our unit is ‘numbers to 10’.  We have been using objects and pictures to explore number bonds 7, 8, 9 and 10.  We then wrote what we did in our whole-part models.  We also investigated part-whole models where we had 3 parts.

English – Our book focus is ‘Man on the Moon’. We wrote post cards from our moon visit and wrote sentences about what we could see, hear and feel.  We have been learning about adjectives and using them to describe funny aliens.
