Friday Briefing - 29/06/18

This week we have been learning about boats. We read the story of Noah’s ark.  We have been playing with boats in the water, thinking about floating and sinking, and the children have written extracts from the story.

In phonics this week we have continued with phase 4 of letters and sounds.  We have been continuing reading and writing longer words and learning to write the tricky word ‘was’.  We will be sending home phase 4 tricky words next week for you to practice.

In maths this week we have been estimating and comparing quantities. We have been using the vocabulary most, fewest, greater than and less than.

•Please return danceathon sponsorship money next week.
•Summer Fete Saturday 30th June  12.30-3.30pm.
•Move up days – Weds/Thurs 4th/5th July
