Friday Briefing - 22/06/18

Topic:
This week we have been thinking about bus journeys. Our focus story was The Naughty Bus by Jan Oke.  Some one sent us our own red bus which we discovered is also naughty and has been having adventures!  The children have been writing to the Naughty Bus asking what it has been up to.

Phonics:
In phonics this week we have continued with phase 4 of letters and sounds.  We have been continuing reading and writing longer words and learning to write the tricky words ‘have’ ‘you’ and ‘are’.

Maths:
In maths this week we have continued looking at addition, subtraction and comparing quantities.

•Danceathon Day today.  Please return sponsorship money next week.
•Summer Fete Mufti day 29th June – Reception asked to bring footballs/large balls or a donation
•Cake stall donations on the 29th also please.
•Summer Fete Saturday 30th June  12.30-3.30pm
•Head lice – please check and treat if necessary
•Please label all clothes and water bottles
