Friday Briefing - 18/05/18

This week as part of our topic we have read the story of Hansel and Gretal. At the beginning of the week we went for a walk in the woods and we discussed what we could see and hear. The children collected items that they found, such as pine cones and twigs and made pictures with them in the garden. Later in the week we talked about preparations for the Royal wedding.

In phonics this week we have been using our phonics to write our own stories in a woodland setting.

In maths this week we have looked at halving and doubling numbers to 20. We have explored the relationship between the two.

•Next Friday will be Mufti day to raise money for the summer fair.
•Please could you ensure your child has a water bottle and hat in school.
•After half term we will be taking PE outdoors. Please could you check that your child has a pair of plimsolls that fit and that they can put on themselves.
