Friday Briefing - 04/05/18

Friday Briefing 04.05.18

This week as part of our topic we have read the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have practised mixing paint colours to make different shades of green leaves for a beanstalk.

In phonics this week we have learnt the new sound ‘ure’ (pure, cure, manure). We have practised reading and writing ‘all’. In our writing the children have written descriptions for some of the characters from our stories so far.

In maths this week we have continued to look at numbers up to 20. The children have found one more and one less using bead strings, also locating the numbers on a numberline.

•We will not be in school on Monday, due to the bank holiday.
•Please can you make sure your child has a water bottle in school each day.
