Friday Briefing - 16/03/2018

Topic:

This week we have been learning about farm animals as part of our topic. On Tuesday we had a lovely day at Sacrewell Farm and the children have been writing about what they saw whilst they were there.

Phonics:

In phonics this week we have been applying what we have learnt so far this year, writing sentences about our trip. We have learnt the ‘oa’ sound and re-capped tricky words.

Maths:

In maths this week we have looked at grouping and sharing. We have also begun to look at what a ‘pair’ is and we have begun counting in 2s.

•Sport Relief is on Friday 23rd of March, for a small donation of £1 children may come to school dressed in their sports kit.
•We have one or two items of clothing outside near the gate, please could you check if any of these belong to your child.
•Orton Hall parking.  Please ensure you park in designated spaces only.  We may lose access if parents continue to park on yellow lines and where it says no parking.
