Friday Briefing - 19/01/2018

We have continued with our topic of Superheroes this week, looking at another Supertato story ‘Run Veggies Run’. We linked the story to how to stay healthy and the children have thought about different things they can do to stay healthy.

In phonics this week we have continued with phase 3 of letters and sounds. We have looked at three new letters this week: w, x and y. The children have been using their phonics to write simple sentences about being healthy, for example ‘I can run.’

In maths this week we have looked at numbers on a tens frame. The children have been adding one more to a given number up to 10. In our group work the children have been ordering numbers to 20.

•Our Story Café will be on Wednesday 24th of January from 1pm until 2.30.
Parents are invited to stay for Collective Worship if they would like to.
