THE SLEEPY SHEPHERD - 24/11/2017

Topic: At the beginning of the week the children watched a video of other children performing our nativity ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’. We have been practising a different part of the play each day as well as learning all of the songs.

Phonics: In phonics this week we have been consolidating phase 2 of letters and sounds. We have played phonics games to help us recognise all of the sounds we have learnt and to blend simple words. We have also practised writing letters and words with a focus on correct formation.

Maths: This week in our Maths learning we have looked at measuring, ordering objects according to size. We have also done some practical activities looking at capacity; estimating which container would hold the most or least amount of liquid. Finally, we have used the balance scales to decide which objects are heaviest or lightest.

•You should now have all received email notification inviting you to your child's Tapestry online journal. If for any reason you have not received this please come and see us.
•Nativity slips for tickets need to be returned by Monday 27th of November.
•The Christmas Bazaar will be on Friday the 1st of December from 3.15 pm onwards.
