Thursday Briefing Blog - 15.11.2018

Topic This week we have been thinking about Birthdays.  We listened to the story Kipper’s Birthday as an introduction to help us think about how we celebrate birthdays. The children have had the opportunity to make birthday banners and birthday cards.

Phonics  In phonics this week we have taught the sounds ‘l’, “b” and ‘ss’.  We have been learning that two letters that go together to make one sound are called a digraph. For example ‘ff’ ‘ll’ ‘ss’.

Maths This week and next week our focus in maths is measures. We are comparing sizes, lengths and learning about capacity.
