OFSTED & Church Inspection

Our last OFSTED Inspection (December 2008) reported that:

‘Teaching is good, at times better because tasks set challenge, motivate and enthuse the pupils’.
‘Pupils contribute much to the school.  They are confident, polite and well behaved individuals who enjoy school.  They leave school appropriately prepared for the future’.
‘Pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is good. Pupils behave well and have positive attitudes to their work’.
‘Academic guidance is good’.
‘The Head teacher provides very strong, effective and dynamic leadership’.

Our Church inspection (February 2009) reported that:
       
‘Christian values and ethics are central to the life of the school and have a significant impact on the personal development of learners.’
‘The impact of collective worship on the school community is good.’
‘The school is a welcoming and inclusive place and good at meeting the needs of all learners.’
‘Adults in the school provide excellent role models.’
‘Care is taken to provide appropriate activities to challenge and develop skills and interests of learners.’
‘The Head Teacher is committed to the Christian ethos of the school and provides a clear vision, an effective lead and inspiration to the school community.’
‘The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as a church school is good.’
